Michelle’s Twist n Curl

I shampooed my hair while in large twists and applied my leave in using the products stated in my hair regimen. Next, I put my hair into medium sized twists and rolled each end with a perm rod. I used three different sized perm rods, placing the smallest ones at the bottom and the largest ones at the top. I applied my shea butter mix to the end of each twist before twisting then rolling. I was doing my hair at night so I went to bed with the rods in my hair. I woke up early in the morning and sat under the dryer for 30 min because they still weren’t dry and I had to go to a wedding. After my hair was dry, I undid my hair and fluffed. I actually intended to do an updo with this style but the shape came out nicer than I expected so I left my hair down and voila!

  1. Hey. Your hair looks great. What kind of leave in conditioner did you use and how many inches is your hair. I’ll think of doing a big chop soon so I want to know if my hair is long enough for this style. Thanks !

    • Hi Wendy! I used my own variation of kimmaytube’s leave-in using aloe vera, cantu shea butter leave in and jojoba oil. I don’t measure my hair but I’m guessing its about 10 inches long. Hope that helps!

  2. I really like this style, however, I’m not natural (don’t judge me). It’s not that I dont want to go natural, it’s just that I’m really impatient :-/… Anywho, do you think the outcome of this hair style will be the same for someone who is relaxed? Please let me know bc I’m thinking of doing this say…tomorrow!!:)

    • its fine that youre not natural, i dont judge! i think you can do the style with the steps i did but to achieve the same amount or even more volume just roll the hair closer to the roots. if you decide to try this style or a variation of it please let me know. i hope this helps!
